Thrown out the manual and forget everything you ever heard about speed metal and hold onto your seats as UNIT:187 takes you on a test drive with what may be the first electronic thrash outfit. Normally I'd be hesitant of a band that uses this much sampled guitar but in this case they do use it in a way that increases the overall vibe of the music rather than drown out the concepts and ideas. At any rate this is the kind of music that brings out the mosh monster in all of us and makes you want to run right out and create violence and mayhem on the dancefloor. The lyrics, when possible to make out, are perhaps the greatest detractor of the album. When used more as a musical instrument they sound great but when used as context and depth for the track they only serve to undermine the music. I guess I'm just tired of all the angst filled drivel force fed to us by every other band and UNIT:187 has finally pushed me over the edge. If I hear one more reference to killing one's self in an industrial track I think I am going to puke. I suppose we can't all be perfect, so just ignore the lyrics and enjoy the album at face value and you'll be okay otherwise you might kick over your stereo in disgust.

Unit:187 are:
Tod Law - vocals
John Morgan - electronics & programming
Ashly Scribner - guitars & sampling
