With my only previous experience with the members of Project Pitchfork being
the side project Aurora, this album came as a bit of a surprise. I was expecting
lulling vocals and ambient soundscapes and ended up with a mild case of gothic
industrial indigestion. Having survived the first course with only dyspepsia I
moved onto the rest of the album viewing it in a different light altogether.
The album itself turned out to be rather impressive, although I was disappointed
that more females vocals were not used. My favorite track on the album has to be
'terra incognita' due entirely to the female vocals. Kind of makes me wonder
why there are not more female industrial type acts, considering that every band
that I've heard that uses female vocals I've fallen in love with.
