Impact Test: Stanley Bodean

  1. Stanley Bodean 30:43

Impact Test is the first band on Decibel Records new sublabel, Feedback Records. The new label is designed to focus more on subtle sound experimentation and aural fixation and leave the more conventional music on the primary label. Impact Test takes the listener to all sorts of sound extremes, from the opening high pitch whines of the single thirty minute track, to the dense rumblings, analog acoustic warbles and the disembodied voices that seem to float forever across and desolate landscape filled with 'industrial' noises. Definitely not an album for someone interested in harsh dance beats and catchy vocals. Impact Test is just what it's name implies it to be, a test of the impact it's music has upon it's listeners. If you've ever had the pleasure of experiencing Illusion of Safety you'll find many of the same elements of found sound manipulation and decomposition. Impact Test is something you need to be in the correct open minded mood to fully appreciate, but when you do grasp all the intricately waved subtleties of the album you won't be let down.

Impact Test are:
Darren - hums, creaks, voice
Karl - whirr, rumble, clatter
