"The Apoplyptic Manifesto" is a collection of Apoptygma Berzerk's greatest hits
taken from all of the older Apoptygma Berzerk singles, EP's, and albums up to,
but not including "7". As a result of the material being taken from across
a five year back catalogue, many of the tracks sound disparate when placed next
to one another. The older material such as 'Ashes to Ashes' and 'Burning
Heretics' has certainly begun to show it's age mostly due to the cheap equipment
it was recorded on back in 1991. Apoptygma Berzerk also utilizes a great deal
of Synth-Pop elements in their music, which has been a major complaint I have
had with Scandanavian Electro artists for years. Regardless, die hard fans
who have been hunting for long out of print 12" singles will certainly
enjoy this release due to the appearance of several rare tracks.
