Logo The Symbol of Burning Water has been represented in many mythological systems. In the Aztec system particularly in the Nabuatl symbological system where Burning Water (see figure 1) is the chief symbol of Chantico and Coatlicue the Female goddess.

Justino Fernandez has clearly observed, that the symbolism of Coatlicue bears traces of an undoubtedly superterrestrial nature.

There is proof that the dynamics of the union of two opposites is at the basis of all creation.

Logo It can be seen in Alchemical Treaties from numerous sources (see figure 2) "The Union of Irreconcilables", marriage of fire and water. The two figures each have four hands to symbolize their many different capabilities.

My point here is not to try and define Burning Water but to give some background data as to the sources of the starting point in the preparation of the film and also corresponding to the soundtrack, to enable us to create the effect we desired, we developed a special technique which we named Hydrocotoprics this enabled us to film every image through moving water filters and also to film through fire, we then employed quintuple montage techniques to further the process.

We finalized the film by running it through a special computer program that vertically mirrored the entire film, the result is comparable conceptually to the technique developed by the Swiss psychologist Hermann Rorschach (1884-1922) and utilized in psycho-therapy, he published his Psychodiagnostics in 1921, diagnostic test based on the perception which details the Rorschach test.

This projective personality test became a very prominent psychometric instrument because clinicians were interested in the descriptions of personality which it yielded laterally, a change of emphasis had occurred, from attempted psychiatric classification to a description of the individuals intrapsychic structure.

Burning Water in this sense can be used as a means to gain access to the inner planes of consciousness, Burning Water can be used to access the alternate realms of imagination and consciousness an inbetweenness that Austin Spare defined as "Neither-Neither".

When this is understood, the mind becomes receptive to the influx of certain concepts that can, if received undistortedly, fertilize the unknown dimensions of consciousness.

In order to achieve this aim a new manner of communication has to be evolved; language itself has to be reborn, revivified, and given a new direction and a new momentum.

The truly creative image is born of creative imaging, and this is ultimately an irrational process that transcends the grasp of human logic.

Our minds may not understand, but in the deepest layers of the subconsciousness where humanity shares a common bed there is instant recognition.

Vibrations must not produce a merely arbitrary noise but an elaborate synthesis of tonal reverberations that trigger a series of increasingly profound echoes in the consciousness.

A subtle form of alchemy, for it is in the nuances and not necessarily in the rational meanings furthermore, it is very often the suggestion of certain forms not used, yet indicated or implied that produce the most precise definitions.

The edifice of a reality-construct may be sometimes bereared only by the architecture of absence, whereby the real building is at one and the same time revealed and concealed by an alien structure haunted by probabilities.

These are legion, and it is the creative faculty the awake and active that can people the house with souls, for the house is constructed in such a manner that no echo can be lost.
